Research Scholar and Organizer, Educational Tour
Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, Karnataka, India
- Role/Activity Description:As part of the curriculum, co-organized a 2-day educational tour for final year postgraduate students.
- Responsibilities:Assisted in planning and coordinating the tour, ensuring logistics for 51 students, and liaising with visited institutions.
- Tour Details:The tour included visits to the College of Fisheries in Mangalore, CAMPCO Chocolate Factory, and ICAR-Directorate of Cashew Research in Puttur.
- Faculty and Participants:Accompanied by 2 faculty members, Dr. Ramith Ramu and Dr. Charukesi R, and assisted as a research scholar.
- Impact/Contribution:Provided students with practical insights and exposure to industry practices in fisheries, chocolate manufacturing, and cashew research, enhancing their academic and practical knowledge.
Organizer, World AIDS Day Commemoration

- Role/Activity Description:Organized and coordinated World AIDS Day events including a walkathon (Jaatha) and a stage program in association with Dr. Ramith Ramu.
- Responsibilities:Assisted in planning and executing the events, collaborating with various government and private sectors, ensuring logistics, and coordinating with participants.
- Event/Walkathon Details:Participated by University Authorities, Faculty members, students of Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, students from other departments of JSS AHER, NCC of JSS AHER, and students from various Pharmacy and Nursing Colleges in the city. The walkathon was flagged off by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Member Secretary Sri Devaraja Bhute from Millennium Circle (LIC Circle) on Bengaluru-Mysuru Road and concluded at JSS AHER.
- Stage Program:Conducted to spread awareness and motivate the public about AIDS.
- Collaborating Organizations:District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, District Health and Family Welfare Department, Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society, District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit, DLSA, Mysuru, various NGOs, and other organizations.
- Impact/Contribution:Successfully motivated and spread awareness about AIDS among the public through active participation and collaboration with multiple sectors.
Volunteer, Vermicomposting Project
Department of Water and Health Science, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, Karnataka, India
- Role/Activity Description:Coordinated efforts to initiate the vermicomposting unit at JSS AHER in collaboration with Dr. Ramith Ramu and fellow students.
- Responsibilities:Identified critical needs such as shelter and isolation from insects, ensured regular maintenance requirements, and initiated necessary groundwork.
- Observations:Identified existing vermicomposting pits near FLS Campus and the main entrance lacking essential technical features. Recommended construction of shelters over pits and installation of barriers to protect from insects and reptiles. Highlighted the need for daily maintenance with one-hour manpower.
- Impact/Contribution:I played a key role in initiating and overseeing the vermicomposting project, working closely with Dr. Ramith Ramu and other students to ensure its successful implementation.
